I ask the thread title, due to the situation arising from the conflict in the Ukraine, which will lead to a much reduced harvest in that country effecting combinable world grain and oilseed production this year and more than lightly next year 2023 worldwide.
It is obviously in the interests of commodity dealers to try and get the most accurate figures as they can for combinable crops worldwide as that is what their livelihood depends on.
Meanwhile the farmer has to use his marketing skills to out wit the commodity brokers, or have I got that wrong?

i’m not sure but i don’t think automated trading is a thing in ag commodities yet ? not enough liquidity in the market

data re crop condition and potential yield coming from all the NDVI services WE all pay to use ! ……… ironically !

it‘s not very good data however from
what i‘m told
