It seems to me that WSP gets ignored by the media and powers that be. i get the impression they see me and other like minded people as the problem to the countries ills. My forebears originated from Scotland over a century ago. I could be a classed as an immigrant. I think of myself as English. My daughter is gay which I have no problem with. I’m sick and tired of not being heard. Surely I have rights as a minority.

I'm not sure what the percentages are but I don't think that it is a good idea to tell a large percentage of the population that their opinions don't count just because they are white men. I, myself have been told that my opinions on womens rights don't count as I am a masoginistic ( apologies for the spelling) male. I am now being told that my opinions on racism aren't valid because i'm white! well I have taken these instructions to heart and no longer give money to African charities, after all if my opinions don't count then neither can my money! I stopped giving to female cancer charities after my female friends told me that I wasn't welcome - it was all about female empowerment. Please don't alienate the people that are trying to help just to make a political point.

If I don't ask, I'm not respecting their heritage.
The truth is, if they weren't racist in that they were judging me as a white middle-aged farmer with a slight fragrance d'sheep et vache, they would observe that I greeted everyone in the same manner.
I remember walking through Kingston, Jamaica, as a young man and feeling extremely intimidated. That does not mean the people around me were guilty of intimidation.

There's d**k heads at both ends of the spectrum - both left and right.
IMHO, they should shut both lots up in a big building somewhere and let 'em get on with it. That way all us 'ordinary' folk could just get on with life.

I take it as a slightly tongue in cheek remark that is explained in subsequent posts. It is not that we are necessarily under privileged but normal is no longer worthy or worth upholding. Extremism is applauded and promoted in attacking people who just want to get on with their lives.
