One of my earliest memories is from 1976 of my grandfather putting a pitchfork it's full length down a crack behind the old Nissen huts that were at the back of the yard.
We're nowhere near close to that yet.
Not a good picture but this is literally a swamp most of the year. The cracks in the soil between the rushes were at least 8 inches deep i couldnt get my hand down any further.
