    Oh behave.
My son has been putting sticks down the cracks in fields. How deep can you stick yours in?

I thought that was a prompt for my photo again.....:unsure:

One of my earliest memories is from 1976 of my grandfather putting a pitchfork it's full length down a crack behind the old Nissen huts that were at the back of the yard.
We're nowhere near close to that yet.

Not a good picture but this is literally a swamp most of the year. The cracks in the soil between the rushes were at least 8 inches deep i couldnt get my hand down any further.

I haven't got a picture but we have a crack on the hillside that is 6ft deep and 200yrds long.

Its the start of a landslide, it'll be a good one when it goes.

Heavy land barley stubble. That's my size 9's. Didn't have my measuring stick with me but must be at least 2-3 feet deep. IMG_20180713_152848883.jpg

You'll find it tough digging at the minute @JCMaloney. Might stop the night hawkers, but they do seem to prefer a freshly sown field.

    Cracks getting bigger every day.
Wheat on heavy land really sucking the moisture out.
