An recommendations for a company to do this in NI?
Yeah mines home up to £40 a month. Think the service might be slightly more stable though.Quickline are putting prices up a touch for us. They justify it by winding the speed back up to what it was when it was Clannet.
We'll be leaving in spring.
Tried the wife's phone on EE the other night 50mbps my Vodafone is about 5.I haven’t got any further than a microwave BB quote from Quickline who are the only local provider with coverage. Still looking into 4G and I have a local contact to establish.
Depends if your router is "unlocked "Can I use any mobile sim card in a LTE router, to provide broadband with a mobile signal?
For example, we get a great EE signal from the mast, only 450 m away. Could I use a Virgin sim or a Plusnet Mobile sim, as they both piggyback the EE network?
Depends if your router is "unlocked "
If it was provided by EE it will probably be locked to EE.
If the router was bought seperatly it will probably be "unlocked "
I have not bought a LTE router yet.
Any recommendations will be gratefully received.
Why are mobile sims for home router use, more expensive than mobile sims for phones?
Interested to know how it performsAll sorted!
Ordered a TP Link LTE router from Amazon and a sim only 200GB card from EE.
ResultWow! Just effing wow!
TP-Link router arrived today (next day Prime delivery), as did EE sim only card.

54 mbs Download and 42 mbs Upload.
Usually get 5 mbs Download and 0.8 mbs Upload with landline.
But due to dodgy connections in the copper wire, when it rains! We were down to 0.35 mbs Download and 0.25 mbs Upload.

In that case, I’d better try it! I just need to find a router that has an option for an external antenna just in case. I’m not far from a mast at all. Cellmapper website shows good coverage from a mast 1 mile away so sitting the router in a window facing it should be enough.
