Who else is sick of the climate change lies?

I'm not with you at all.

I am absolutely scathing about cop26 and it's disciples and achievements, I would happily run down M25 protestors, and don't believe a word coming out of Westminster.
I agree the Met Office couldn't find their backsides with both hands.

But..... CO2 and it's effects were being predicted from when I was a nipper, and the graphs show exactly what was predicted.
The obvious drastic changing eco-systems, even on my own landscape - where almost nothing has changed in management terms- are clear enough for me.
The heatwave in BC last June was the last bit of doubt gone. FFS.... 49.6C in a temperate zone......go and ask the people there.

Not liking the message, and despising the messenger doesn't change the message.

and if poor @delilah thinks the solutions will be friendly loving communes....dang! There's a shock coming.
I don’t know how old you are but growing up in the seventies the message then was that the next ice age is coming remembering this makes me highly sceptical of today’s pronouncements and has been said before it is the same computers being used to forecast climate change as are being used to forecast the weather and they will readily admit they are not accurate more than three days out yet we are being asked to believe their forecast for 30 years hence!!

I make no apology for having taken it upon myself to fly 2000 miles on holiday to Cyprus, not just for a well deserved holiday, but to avoid the Cop26. Of which I doubt many if any scientists attended, but no doubt plenty of Greta’s!
I’ve not turned any TV or radios on or read the newspapers.
It’s been brilliant!

The truth is that we are still living in an Ice age because we have ice at the poles.

Every 100,000 years or so we have an inter- galacial lasting about 10,000 years.

David Attenborough was right to say" it has been remarkable stable for the last 10,000 years " however he did not explain how we came out of the last glacial maximum (20-25,000 ybp) when no fossil fuels were being burnt.

Just thought i'd see if anybody else was as sick of the endless stream of lies that emanate out of the idiot box as i am. Climate change is a natural phenomenon, its been happening for hundreds of thousands of years. Humans are not causing climate change. The globalists want a carbon credit, green passport system, tied to you vax status of course, so that they can wield unprecedented levels of control over us. Covid and climate change are the biggest lies that have ever been fed to the apathetic, docile public. I don't know about anybody else here, but if the government come a-callin, wantin to know how much carbon my farm emitts, i'm now of a mind to tell them where to go. This all ends when we make it end. Covid and climate change disappear when we decide, the power is in our hands and we repeatedly hand it over to this theoretical government who have never helped us once in our lives. Its all about control, and the quicker everybody realises that and wakes up the better. Anybody who can watch the hypocracy of the whole pantomime and not see through it is a lost cause at this point. Go and read the scottish government 'road map' to net zero, it says a lot about reforestation and peatland restoration, and reducing consumption of beef and lamb. Coupled with recent reports on bbc scotland about insect protien being consumed in the future, i'd say our industry is at threat here. Anything to do with climate change, along with covid, are just a means to implement new measures of control on all aspects of our lives. I will not take part in this stupid game. Can anybody empathise with me here?
You are right about the hypocrisy and pantomime. You are partly right and partly wrong about climate change, it is indeed a natural phenomenon but human activity is undoubtable having an effect. In the earths timeline our effect may be little more than noise on the graph but we are not a species that live 10,000 years, in terms of changes witnessed within in a human lifetime or two our capacity to impact on climate change is measurable and significant, so is our capacity to limit this change. I don't subscribe to the "they" conspiracies. Those in our government making legislation today are people who by and large have to also live within that same framework long after they quit the political arena. Controls governments ministers choose to impose do not just apply to the plebs but also (by and large) to themselves, to their brothers, sisters, mums and dads, children, grandchildren aunt and uncles Those shouting loudest about climate change are the scientists and researchers, they may have an interest in continued funding but there are plenty of others not receiving any such funding that peer review their studies and agree with the findings. Also lets not get too hung up about the idea of controls. It is right to push back against excessive controls but complex large society can only function when underpinned by a strong and trusted framework of controls. In a capitalist democratic society control isn't all held by a induvial or small group, it is simply part of a system. Everyone in that society is held under some degree of control, all be it that some get away with more than others. When control of a society breaks down it is known as a "failed state", its not pretty, not pleasant and not something I want my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to have to experience.

Our industry is indeed threatened, the link between cow methane and climate change is, at least during the last 30years has been greatly exaugurated by parties that want to end meat production or distract from their own industries growing methane emissions. We have to stand our ground on this.

Your notion that climate change and Covid disappear with we decide is I am afraid much like making the world disappears by covering your eyes, it is foolish childish naivety.

I believe climate change is happening to be honest. However our little country is irrelevant in comparison to the likes of the USA, Russia, China, India etc. So I think we need to walk away from it because no matter what we do unless the big countries in the world make change, then its pointless us doing anything and all we are doing is harming our own economy.

It has become a case of the emperor’s new clothes anybody who questions the scientists opinions is vilified and their sanity is questioned, well there are plenty examples out there of scientists being wrong,BSE being one that immediately springs to mind that nearly destroyed the livestock industry but has since been proved to be nonsense.

Firstly, where have you been for the last couple of years? You've clearly not been on here reading the multitude of threads.

Secondly, you're lumping a huge number of things into the same pot. The idea/phenomenon of "climate change" is one thing, the policy decisions being made around this worldwide are an entirely separate matter.

Climate change is something the entire world believes it can do something about, I give no opinion on that other than mankind believes itself capable of many things.

Policy decisions are purely and utterly down to human beings, and therefore shot to pieces by the ability of mankind to bring about the destruction of its own empires. I think we're well on the way to that end at this point in time. Our general IQ is definitely on the way down.........

Climate credits, green passes, vaccine passes, health status, carbon status?, social credit score, where does it end? Is this really going to save the world? Whoever believes that needs to pull their head out of their arse. And yet we still have this pompous ruling class, rubbing our faces in it like they don't pollute. Flying around the world acting like they're saving it. The f**kin royals!? They are totally irrelevant, no longer serving any purpose. This upside down world, where its ok to buy a tv or phone, or any other trivial sh!t, the list is long, made in china, indonesia, india or vietnam, and yet my farm of 300 sheep, and the 'carbon' im emitting are the problem. I think people need a reality check. The media made a conscious shift from covid to climate, not reporting on vaccine adverse effects, no talking about the cardiac arrests, no mention of the freedom rally protests worldwide, but they made sure to beat us over the head repeatedly about the new bogie man climate change. Should be pretty easy realise whats going on but some people still battle with it

I reached adulthood in the eighties. I can remember the consternation about the ice age that was supposed to come, but which didn't square with my lived experience of a childhood of a mishmash of weather. As soon as Margaret Thatcher (of all people!, but she was a trained scientist, unlike bliddy Johnson) read about and discussed corrected scientific projections that included increased CO² from human use of fossil fuels speeding up global warming, she authorised investment in charting and monitoring Climate Science. That began in the late 1970s.
That's what I know. We were told our weather patterns wouldn't alter radically for a while, but our Climate would change.

Watch "The Trick" on iplayer, and see how that research was put in jeopardy by climate change deniers. We should have dropped our use of fossil fuels significantly by now, and brought CO² emissions back into something manageable (a parallel with healing the ozone layer) but malicious actions of climate change deniers are now costing the human race dear. They've blood on their hands.

There is only one elephant in the climate room and that's fossil fuels (oil ,gas and coal). And the fact that fossil fuel reductions have not ever been on the recommendations from the previous 25 COP meetings, points to these jamboree's being under the total control of multinationals and the vested interests of corrupt governments. Whose only interest is to deflect criticism away from the massive damage they are doing and onto soft targets like agriculture.
