The inference being that others don't... ? Hmm, I spend virtually every penny of my outgoings in the UK and, as far as possible, on UK manufactured goods and on services. I also pay all of my tax in the UK, I'm raising several future citizen-taxpayers too. I guess my time in the Army won't count with you though, because the meagre total of only about a month of it was spent in France... what was I thinking... :banghead:?

Something I found interesting. When applying for a French passport, if you have served in a combat role with an allied country s forces, you will not be refused. Unless you have a criminal record, been bad etc.

4. And, enough of people saying they would be welcome back- this is a lie and everyone knows it. Soubry called the PM a racist. Allen said she wants to destroy the party. They are fundamentalists/democracy deniers with incredibly inflated opinions of their own ability.
Nadine Dorries used to drink in the pub up the road from where we were.
I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.

The French and Irish contingent want to be careful given how much we import from them. If you think the Honda plant closing is bad wait till PSA have to shut a factory because suddenly they cant sell us 150,000 Peugeots.

Really, I think you should check your facts. Ireland is the UK's fourth biggest export market and makes the UK's second biggest trade surplus. I am sure there are a few countries that would like to tap into that. As for France with the exception of wine and jewellery it's mostly the movement of components for the car and aerospace industries followed by pharmaceuticals and energy. Making France the third biggest export market for the UK. However, it does still run a deficit of 3 billion.

I average approximately £5000 pounds of imports from the UK every year, their are about 350-400 expat farmers in the region who probably do similar. So £2 million added to the UK's bottom line from a very small group, isn't to be sniffed at. Add to that, all the other ex pat business on the go that will do similar across Europe and it's a sizeable chunk of money. But there again I am not just an armchair politician, I actually do something for my country.

Sorry but you have jusy made the most blantantly richard cranium offensive remark ive read on a forum for a long time by inferring none of us are doing anything. That is bull sh!t.

My MP Angela Smith is one of the breakaway MP's

Although a conservative voter all my life, I think she has been a decent MP for the area. She worked very hard to help the local steelworks stay open & for redevelopment of a derrilict steel works site. She has also sat on the cross party committe which discuss agricultural issues with Nigel Parish as the chairman. I have watched these on the parliment channel on tv & she has always listened thoughtfully & asked sensible questions.

I don't always agree with her she is well to left of me & is also pro badgers, something that I'm very much against. I'm a remainer although I suport Mrs May's deal so that we can move ahead, Angela Smith being a so called remoaner.

I shall vote for her in the next election, although I won't be sad to see the conservatives win. The main reason is sheer gratiude that she has stood up to the bullying leadership of Corbyn.

Who else will join the seven? Chukka Unna realy been the only high profile of the seven.

I think they are finished unless they get at least a 100 MP's to join them ideally some been from the Conservative party.

I hope they get
Rachel Reeve
Mary Creigh
Hillary Benn
Anna Sourby???
Stephen Kinnock has ruled himself out.

A 100 Labour MP's are going to be deselected to be replaced by hardline communists. Surely some will jump.

I know most on here are Conservatives, but it is important to have a decent oppossition not a party that is a threat to the country.

They will have weighed it all up.She is heavily pregnant anyway. They obviously cant remain in the party with Corbyn as leader, and gives us all an insight into how big an ass hole the guy really is! The group of Labour MPs would really have to call themselves something like "Independant New Labour" or such, and try and get 100 or more to join and kind of hi jack the party from momentum. If it stops at less than 20 or so,they will not succeed in much. But they probably know they were going to get deselected anyway, and think its better to go out with a fight, and tell everyone what a w**ker Corbyn really is.

Have a nice evening.
But don't neck too much then come home and squat for a dump, in full view of the neighbours, up the garden where the old cladger used to be.

I see some commentators describing the Labour deputy Leader Tom Watson as been isolated by Corbyn's supporters and he is excluded from the shadow cabinet's sub committee on Brexit.

Tom Watson hass been quite a hero in my opinion, he must have taken some real flak from the extreme left. He tried really hard to persuade Corbyn to pack it all in & has defended all those who have left.

A famous American Preseident used to say better inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. Well Tom Watson is keeping his place in that tent & pissing all over the bad guys daily.

I hated Tom Watson for been Gordon Brown's bully boy, but now I think he deserves a knighthood.

Maybe he will jump to middle ground later, he is certainly trying the best he can, to give the new party time to find its feet, before they face an election.

I don't like TW's politics, much, but I think that as far as the JC affair goes he has conducted himself in an exemplary manner. If the rumours are true, or anything approaching the truth, he has been the target for a hell of a lot of unpleasantness. (I'm also pretty sure that the amount of stress he has been under must have been a contributory factor in his weight loss).
