Then how did it feel to achieve no impact but at least go through the proper channels so at least if made you feel good that you were ignored in the correct way.
Their reply was there is plenty of cross over between conventional and organic.

Wanted them to do more on,
Herbal leys and clover use
Lower AB usage
Organic milk volumes

Majority of organic farmers paddled their own canoes.

Guess who comes knocking on the door asking about the above and sharing the learnings. 🤔

Took my money , still do, and didn't really help.

I think you to have a serious discussion about this you would need to know more.

Otherwise your lack of awareness of the topic means I think you are flip flopping
I do lack awareness in arable and RT.
Yep
You can mix imported grain with UK grain and its ok in their eyes. Yep that's wrong.
That's the extent of it and its wrong

I don't even think you know what you are talking about!
An assurance scheme that's covers the legalities of dairy farming
Movements
Identication
Dairy inspection
Safety data sheets
Etc

Simple scheme just like it was in the beginning.

This clearly demonstrates that rat is only about collecting fees. The same inspector on the same day, but charging for 2 inspections
Quite agree that RT is all about collecting fees.
As a dairy farmer my milk buyer picks up the tab for my RT dairy inspection.
But in the small print is a line that says something along the lines of
I am aware that as a condition of being RT dairy assured I must also be RT beef assured.
Of course the dairy company isn’t going to pick up the tab for beef assurance, that ones for the farmer.
I have yet to work out and no one has been able to tell me what extra requirements there are for beef assurance, I certainly can’t think of anything that could be relevant, could it be that there isn’t anything extra other than the writing of a cheque to RT?

Yet beef farmers don’t have to be RT assured, it is entirely optional wether they are or not so why are dairy farmers forced to be RT beef assured as a condition of their dairy assurance which they can’t sell milk without, is it even legal to compel farmers to sign up to beef assurance like this.
If only farmers had some sort of organisation to fight their case collectively in situations like this.

Re your last sentence, The British Farming Union has this issue at the top of their agenda.

Think it was maybe yourself Tarw who uploaded a letter saying you needed RT beef, along with the dairy??? From the assessment company?

Not sure it says that in the standards though?

As you suggest "tying" (the condition of supply of one product is that you purchase a second) is illegal under competition law. Not sure if this contravenes the law or not.

@Tarw Coch

Tying occurs when a supplier makes the sale of one product (the tying product) conditional upon the purchase of another (the tied product) from the supplier (i.e. the tying product is not sold separately).

So does this mean if you want RT Dairy, they can't make you take beef assurance.

You're saying the dairy assurance isn't sold separately, but your required to take out beef as well.
