The AHDB, using levy money have trialled an e passport, mainly for the grain industry for now, but sure it can be rolled out over other sectors.
What is everyone's thoughts on this?
Is it going to benefit farmers? or is it another tool that will end up coming back to bite the industry, whilst delivering most benefits to haulage and end users?
Is it actually necessary?

Personally I am not convinced that it is anything other than a trojan horse which could have unforeseen downsides, such as red tractor, where we were promised a premium, and instead we get no premium, lots of hoops to jump through, countless new rules (which are pointless) and a cost which is going up every year!
