After putting pressure on them for info yesterday they rang back today to say I won't be paid for long while due to remote inspection, asked how it was going was told they hadn't started work on it yet, so asked had I been inspected or was going to be inspected? they could not answer that. Sounds like the remote inspection is being used as a excuse to justify the delay to alter the statistics. Hope the landlord is in a good mood at the end of the month.I haven't been paid due to remote inspection. The remote inspection was inconclusive due to cloud cover. Whats the next step....the don't know...yet!

And if your renting the landlord always uses the oldest area as its the biggest!Just had an inspector knock on the door with a map of the farm in his hand. I asked him in for a cup of tea but he said he didn't have time as he had 6 other farms to visit. He asked if I was aware that this area has been remotely sensed (I wasn't). There were 2 fields highlighted on his map that he needed to see as they had not come out on the remote sensing photographs. He said that once he had seen them and if everything was okay we should get paid.
The strange thing is that last time they remote sensed one of these fields they got it wrong.
The whole farm was then measured by an inspector with a trundle wheel a few years later. 2 years after that the whole farm was measure again by an inspector with a handheld GPS unit. How many time do we need to measure a field?
I did that as well and to ask about why i haven't heard anything about my Stewardship application sent in September.I've sent an email to my MP to ask him to enquire about mine! I know of 6 others in my area that haven't been paid

Same here. They have done a final and definitive remeasure here about six times over the last 20 years. Every time it's slightly different by some tiny amount. I update my field areas accordingly because it's easier just to agree than argue the toss over 3/8 of FA, but then they do another measure up and it's different again but it's me who is wrong.
They can't seem to grasp the fact that in any measurement there is always a margin of error. It will always be + /- some small amount and you will always get a slightly difference result everytime you measure the same area. They can't seem to understand this, so they are stuck in a loop of perpetual remeasuring. This is what happens when the people in charge aren't very good at mathematics or geometry never mind basic common sense.
No, and had the visit due to cloud cover
Another week older and still no further along the line, still at claim validation, trying to build the strength to call them again but what's the point if they won't even tell me if they are working on my case.
