I think the injection was only reliable on merinos, something to do with the difference between how the wool grows.
if I recall right it was a proten shock and a few weeks later. the wool would break off had to put nets over the sheep then. get them back in to take off the nets. etc. was not really labour saving in a lot of ways
a lot did not react to it tho

all my wool gear. ice breaker tops undies. etc just. go in the washing machine same with wool tops in with. shearing jeans and sox seem to handle it ok

I've 2 wool jumpers I used to wear a lot in the winter. Washed them as the label said and always hung up to dry...

Last wash they ever had they shrank to half the size and felt like a bad matted Blackie fleece :(

Happened at separate times about 12-18 months apart. It's put me off pure wool jumpers I must admit  one of them was a Harkila windbreaker, so not cheap! I don't understand why after so many washes they decided to shrink

I thought most farmers didn’t wash their face let alone clothes

yea some wool will shrink and that is a prob it has I know when my grandmother was in a home they wanted her to have no wool as it was to hard for them to wash

thats a big thing wool has to over come some products have made big inroads like ice breaker and some other wool products in main stream use not huge amounts used. and mainly finer end wools

BO my friend! BO.

Wearing an acrylic jumper is a recipe for sweat = BO.

Wool = warm and breathable = no stinky oxters.

Right, @ThatsSomeSheep , we need to get you on a stand at the Highland this week driving this message home.

We'll have you covered in wool from head to toe, turn the heating up , and let the public in to smell how fragrant you remain under pressure. :)(y):love:
