Surely we could turn this round into a PR opportunity?
Or should we be seriously considering entry?

Might be an opportunity for a farmer who is considering getting out of cows anyway
Although as soon as you see PETA in the title the thought “farmer bashing” comes to mind

A PR exercise for PETA.
An organisation that wants to do away with Livestock farming.
When you google PETA, it comes up with PETA being an extremist organisation. How can you work with people with a one extremist vision.
Wouldn't touch anything that involves them with a barge poll. It would be like an ambush.

I can understand the ethical argument these folk have against livestock farming, don’t agree with them. But I cannot understand the ethical argument in favour of plant based “milk” which is at best 10% plant, mostly water and with chemical sweetners, stabilisers and whatever added vitamins they need to throw in as well. Priced at a premium to actual milk.

Lifestyle choice? fine, crack on, but leave the rest of us alone.

youre removing a natural product and replacing it with a largely synthetic processed product. It’s the hyper processing and refining of raw food in the pursuit of margin that is, in my opinion, massively accountable for many of the ills of modern society.

I was going to email the following to the woman running this “competition”, but as yet I haven’t as I’m worried for repercussions:-

In regards to your competition run with Deborah Meadon.
Any woman using the word “rape” to market a competition needs their head looking at. How dare you be so ignorant as to describe artificial insemination as rape, you ignorant, ignorant excuse for a human being! Are you saying all veterinarians are rapists as well as dairy farmers as artificial insemination Is a veterinary procedure?
And what the hell do you or Deborah Meadon know about growing crops anyway? Do you have an agronomy degree? Crop farming is all about “raping” the soil of all its nutrients! Without the addition of animal manure the worlds soils are being slowly degraded, crop by crop, as the nutrients are stripped away.
Crop farmers kill and mame far more pest species than you can ever imagine, why would a crop farmer want to share his profits with the local wildlife?
Dairy consumption is increasing worldwide at around 2.5% and in the UK at about 1.5%. It is not on its knees. Dairy farming is the most profitable agricultural sector, and always is.
Stop it with this vegan propaganda, hate and lies, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about!

They did this sort of stunt over here a few years ago, with the seal hunt. Offering $1,000,000 to anyone willing to bail on the hunt. Pamela Anderson even flew in to award the money personally, but no takers, on the money anyway! Might have been different results on Ms. Anderson.

I think you’re pissing in the wind trying to engage them directly to be honest. They’d see an emotional response as a part victory.

Organisation like that thrives on publicity, if their latest stunt is met with stones silence, they’ll raise the bar further eventually turning moderate folk off them

A tourist attraction near us got itself some very bad press with the locals recently when it associated with PETA to promote a campaign to ban bullfighting. The Facebook local farmers group went after them in a big way.
Within about 48 hours they backtracked and withdrew from the situation, tho not the bullfighting campaign.
