Torrential rain all afternoon and it's cold .It's all or nothing !

Despite the constant on/off showers it does seem to have warmed up slightly here over the past week and stuff has started moving. Wheats have definitely started to get hold of N3 and overnight temperatures not far from getting into double figures with lows of around 8 degrees so soil temperatures are finally creeping up.

tbh i like the dry can get lots done with no muck ,no need to worry about keeping everything covered etc..saves a ,lot of time really especially if you havent got lots of concrete and sheds.

Flood alert was issued at 7.14 last night, taking immediate effect. It was only when I looked at the forecast at 10 that I thought I’d better check to see if there was one. So much for weather forecasting, perhaps they do need that new computer!

Similar here,nice steady rain tho,winter barley has jumped 6 inches since the rain started but grass isn’t really moving much.

Bloody lovely here today, last of the Easter direct drilled barley final coming through and filling in after the bank holiday rain. Warm, breezy, barely a cloud. This for weeks would be nice
