It was a lovely morning here, but as soon as I started spraying a big shower bubbled up and put paid to that . Three near neighbours all spraying and will now be wondering how much has stayed on the crop.

Well that is a zero for a calendar month at the farm first like that for a number of years. Few 5min showers that barely damped the concrete but nothing measurable. Looks like Monday at 7 weeks since the last rain will be the next to look for

Worry never did any good. Just keep doing what you can.

I am remarkably chilled at the moment all the crops are there and not looking to bad considering a bit of rain next week and the spring crops will soon fill in and the bits that haven’t germinated will soon catch up and a good rain and roll and we will look ok I think

Not enough moisture to wet the bottom of the gauge till 29th. Heavy rain/hail at 6.30am this morning. Total 6mm. 37 years here and never had any month with less rain.

10.2mm here, in both gauges 🍾🎈🎉

I bought the 2nd gauge yesterday (seriously), because I was wondering if the fancy electric one was buggered with it showing SFA for the month...

Its coming Monday apparently.
Big low out in the Atlantic , working its way across as we speak.
Not sure if it will sort the jet stream out tho, because he says 1st week of May will still be cold,
