Bit of a rant.
lad in next village just bought a power Harrow from a dealer in Gloucestershire.
advertised as a 3m Kuhn. All runs up perfectly blah blah blah.
Delivered last week. Turns out to be a 4m which is no good to him. Still got Brown&Co lot no on it.
pto is so siezed they had a tractor on either end to try and pull it apart but wouldn't shift. So no way has it ever been run up or checked over.
that's apart from half the rotors leaking oil.

He rang dealer said he wanted his money back. Dealer said ok but buyer would have to stand the transport back. Which imo isn't playing fair.
Now dealer isn't answering phone or reply to messages.

Nothing to do with me but boils my pee when morons like this are allowed to trade.
Rant over

Silly idiot for unloading a 4m power harrow when he bought a 3m. As soon as he accepts the delivery the problems begin.

My neighbour bought a Manitou 627 on big wheels with 2500 hrs and when it turned up it was on small wheels with 4500hrs but immaculate. Rang them straight away and they agreed to send £1750 refund for the difference if he kept it. Three years ago and still waiting for the cheque. Large john deere dealer group

Its painful isn't it, on a plus gives good dealers a better name. I've noticed the dealer I had issues with now selling on Facebook under a different name to they do on ebay and online. Can tell there the same by background.

I'm not sure I want to be in that market as the dealer though just as dishonest sellers to them

To be fair the lad is a little 'green' shall we say. Not everyone is as clued up on the rights and wrongs of buying.
Some folk naturally see things as being their fault rather than being the victim.
Why dont you offer to help him out ,with your knowledge of the industry. Personally cant stand liars and fraudsters... and have a bit of a reputation locally due to it!

Probably the same reason some farmers are utter scumbags.
Sad. But it's got to the stage where I trust nobody. Unless they've earnt it on previous deals.

Recently bought a McConnel rhino topper for one reason or another. Cheap, I knew that. Turns out the splinehub has shed it's teeth. I could bolt the blades back on and sell it for a tidy profit. It'll run up but start cutting and it'll show it's not right. Wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Have to know it works before it goes out. Cannot be doing with aggravation. It's not worth it. Mower will have a new spline welded in then get sold that way and some one will have a very strong mower to abuse.

Is it the splines on the shaft or blade holder gone?
