It is not the French causing problems at Calais! It is English customs, perhaps you have not crossed the channel. UK customs are in Calais French customs are in Folkestone.
Perhaps Boris saying "they haven't filled in the paperwork correctly is down to this.

You could be right but I still wouldn't trust them not to play silly beggars, as I said.
My point was that they said there wasn't enough time to sort the customs out.
Or this...
Interesting interview with the head of the European road haulage assoc. It seems part of the problem with the paperwork is the uk IT system.
The EU got on, after the uk said we're leaving, and installed the same IT system, that works so well on the Norwegian border, down the EU coast. They offered it to the uk , who said "we'll do our own system, world beating" etc., So this EU system runs on bar codes, you feed in your info and the system gives you a code that you print and send with the load.
The uk never got around to a new system, they are using one that is 30 years old, it is making mistakes with the bar code/ wrong info gives wrong code. When scanned into the EU system, its not recognized. so instead of 30 seconds with an arm out the window, the driver has to park, get out and join the queue.
It will be interesting to see if the uk system can cope with the extra amount of EU generated codes in a few months when the uk starts scanning incoming EU lorries into the system

I read that the EU expected 80 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine in the first quarter of the year but that has been cut to 31 million, no idea why.
The AstraZeneca vaccine, developed by Oxford University, has not yet been given EU approval; however the bloc's drug regulator is expected to give it the green light at the end of this month.
A spokesman for AstraZeneca said on Friday that "initial volumes will be lower than originally anticipated" without giving further details.

Shades of the single farm payments IT fiasco of a few years ago. That was a monumental fudge up.

I need to sell a bit more kit to save some money into the coffers first! I must say looking back at the cars most folk could build and run in the 80’s it was more fun. Modern cars are like railway trains on rails. Dream car is an Ascona 400.
In my very humble opinion the Ascona 400 was the best car I’ve competed in ...

The EU is the most corrupt setup on the planet. How can a p**s pot office with zero assets end up ruling over 27 countries. It’s just the stupidest thing ever. They ultimately just want Europe with 1 member - Europe. Individual countries to loose their identities and fall under the rule of a bunch of nazi’s effectively from an office in Brussels.

However it’ll now collapse thankfully. The German people have had enough of propping up the other 26 countries and they’ve certainly had enough of this free movement open borders garbage.

And Germany saying they will take a million immigrants in causing a flood of the to arrive. Very popular move.
Especially they now demand all eu states should take a share

Sure. Everybody is looking at Brexit unfolding right before their eyes, and saying to themselves we would also love to have delays, restrictions, paperwork, additional costs, loss of market share, reduced choice, etc, etc,.

Yep.
And there’s only six people on the whole forum that disagree with this, Lee?

Ironic that so many Brexiters are still obsessed with the EU they were so desperate to leave. Reminds me of people who leave a party or gathering because they hate being there but simply cannot resist peering in to see what they are missed. " I bet they're hating the xxx, and will be scared of the yyy and I'm sure the police will be along shortly to kick them all out if they don't end up killing themselves first."
Smacks of desperation to me.
