Why can't I delete a line

I have a couple of fields that were split last year and go back into one this year, mainly where there were small blocks of fallow under an old ELS scheme. Even if I change the areas I still can't delete the old lines. All I get is a message 'Error not catched'

Anyone know how to delete them?

Were they "infield" splits with same number or two new fields with separate numbers?
If merging two fields back into one you need to do an RLE1 form.
Did either of the split fields keep the same number as before? Use that for new number of field.

I had to ring up to find out how to do this on a couple of fields with zero area. Go back to land transfers and click the list and it will let you delete the numbers rather than transfer.

We had this where a field number changed but not the boundary. So there was both old & new number. Worked well!
Not sure if it's applicable to an infield split. May remove the whole field!

Does the x not work next to the pencil edit icon? Is that where you get the error message.
Try logging off and coming back to it after 10 mins. if that doesn't work will have to submit as it is but check calculations and will be worth sending an email to RPA explaining problem

I've been trying to use the x for days, I've given up now and given both areas the same crop code

I noticed, that when you do a part field under another crop, that you have to reduce the area of the other part. Even then you will have three lines for the field and have to remove the original.
