Why do Scottish Nationialists prefer EU to British Rule?

Nothing wrong with respecting the 62% of Scots who voted to remain. I call that respecting democracy, not a hissy fit.

TSS

Scotland is in the UK. Scotland had a refendum and the Scottish people remain in the UK.

The UK had a referendum on leaving or remaining in the EU.

As part of the UK those who voted for the SNP got the same rights as everywhere else in the UK.

Remember you quoted about wanting to be an "EQUAL" partner.

Well do as you requested and ACT like a an EQUAL partner.

The SNP want the rest of the UK to honour their rights ... well they have been.

The SNP got their biased referendum where Scots not living in Scotland didn't even get the right to vote. See the French elections where the French are voting throughout the UK ?

Now YOU respect OUR rights in OUR democracy.

The SNP don't have a leg to stand on ... on every count and every decision the SNP have lost and been made a fool of.

The SNP have made their bed ... now lie in it ... the SNP have no power in Westminster and NEVER will ... that is because they have a draconian nationalistic policy pandering to the views of 2.5 million people ignoring 62.5 million people.

Now we know exactly where we stand.

Dont think there are that many prefer the EU to the UK. Hopefully the SNP get a big shock come election time. People have to remember that we live in one of the best countrys in the world. Who wouldnt be proud to be British. The grass is not always greener on the other side of fence.

You make it sound like it's all about the SNP instead of half the Scottish population.

You also contradict your equal partner argument by saying it's ok to ignore 56 of our 59 MP's!

Nice!

Why are you not proud?

I was, very, in these classic days.

Now long gone. Maybe the reason I am so disappointed is that it was such a great place and chose to turn it's back on all that made it great.
Coal mining, steel making, ship building, heavy engineering, agriculture, motor bike manufacture, manners, looking out for one another, compassion, great music, work ethic ...

Thing is, it all died after joining the common market. Coincidence or reason? I don't know but those days are so long gone I can't see any hope for any decent future there. Well, I chose to vote with very near all I have:whistle:

All the SNP is constantly twisting the meaning all the time.

The SNP have 56 MPs which have the same rights as EVERY OTHER MP in Westminster.

They are ALL EQUAL and ALL get to vote.

None of them are IGNORED.

The problem for the SNP is their MPS ARE EQUAL and because the other parties represent the majority of people from ALL REGIONS of the UK the SNP cannot DICTATE to the rest of the UK what to do.

Simple because the SNP represents 2.5 million people.

If the SNP wants to gain majority power in Westminster then stand in all of the seats across the UK as EVERY other party has to.

And there in lies the root of your problem. You view Scotland as a "region" .

Those who view Scotland as a their country, simply want it to have the same power as enery other country in the world.

And, it was you, in an earlier post who said SNP MSP's "should " be ignored. You can't have it both ways.

But the people of Scotland, in a referendum (and I would dispute wanton dwarf's statement that this was unfair; if you have left a country why should you expect to make decisions for those still living there?) chose to be part of the UNITED KINGDOM - NOT a region and NOT part of an amorphous whole. Scotland has delegated powers and a say in the general decisions which affect us all. If anything it has more autonomy than England.

Perhaps you should move up here @Henarar. Nicola probably has a job for you...

You've already shown more Machiavellian originality than the rest of her advisors put together...
Not sure I could put up with her I like a quiet life and she has a big mouth

Didn't someone declare independance for Yorkshire a couple of years ago and go round painting all the lamp-posts white to match the white rose?
louis theroux done a telly programme about independence, seems its not that big a deal anyone can do it, he ended up declaring his flat independent if I recall correctly
