Stopped buying Supermarket Bacon... It was habit we picked it up like lots of other stuff , thats what we got. Product of the EU.

Get it now from the Local Butchers , It's twice the price but twice the Bacon. Far Superior. Cooks Better and Tastes better.

I find it's similar price £/kg.....but butchers bacon is twice as thick and doesn't shrink.

No idea whether it's British though - plenty of butchers nowadays seem to import/source from a wholesaler.

I take chicken muck from two poultry farms .
I use that instead of bought in fertilizers
Just got me thinking , why dont our arable farms keep poultry and do the same, instead of importing chicken

The poultry game is pretty cut-throat from what I hear....small margins across large volumes. You need to know what you're doing and be on the ball.

@Daniel would know a bit more.

I see what you are saying. I did have neighbors who grew “chicken feed” wheat and there is lots of uk chicken.
But yes, this moving stuff around the world is mental. It’s only so the rich can get richer...

But, what you gunna do?

Shooting season and skiing? ;)

Just a question, who is going to do the shitty jobs like intensive hens and pigs when you don’t have many Poles any more?

Yes, exchange rate has put an end to them wanting to work in the UK.
