Why do you farmers believe that the argument of the meat and dairy industry having a negative impact on the environment is false?

It's been well argued on many platforms that the meat and dairy industry in it's current form is having disastorous effects on the environemnt?

Now if this is a complete lie then why is it being spread so much? Who is doing it and why? what are the aims of these scientists that are spreading such a misleading claim?

Surely you aren't going to try and claim this is a myth spread by vegans who have compassion for animals? Vegans make up like 1% of the population - I wonder how such a small group of people could spread such a big lie. Especially spreading this lie in a meat eating world were most people eat meat everyday. You aren't going to try and claim that such a small amount of people have managed to spread such propaganda that they have even managed to brain watch many meat eating scientists into believing this BS.

It is true that some methods of animal production are not environmentally friendly, but others are. Just like almost any other product. It is clear that that anti meat campaigners focus solely on the very worst end of the spectrum to make there claims. Choose a grass fed system (which is more like the UK’s system) rather than a feed-lot system and the figures for Enviromental sustainability look very different. Cattle and sheep are evolved to eat grass, not soya and corn.
How as a vegan do you justify consuming soya based protein, you know it is all grown on land that is being cleared of rainforest and is genetically modified and sprayed repeatedly with glyphosate as it grows? How environmentally sustainable is that?

How are scientists who eat meat themselves buying this lie. Maybe if something like 50% of the population was vegan it would be easy to spread propaganda like this. However, how can 1% of the population manage to spread 'lies' like this through so many platforms?

Maybe you personally as a farmer don't have a carbon footprint (or not much) however the industry as a whole has a very large one. According to the big 'lie' of course.

You find me a reliable source that proves soya production damages the environment just as much/more that the meat and dairy industry as a whole and I will give you a vegan cookie.

Probably because of the area involved, you are probably talking thousand and thousand of acres of land.
The cost of that would make it uneconomic to do.
Would you be willing to pay a 10% premium to have "fenced chick peas"

Before us the planet wasn't full of billions of animals being produced each year. Every year billions of new animals are introduced to the planet and killed.Repeat the cycle over and over again and these problems arise.

You have chosen your path. I put it to you that an even better path is to choose meat produced using methods that actually sequesters carbon. The fertile soils of the Great Plains around the world we’re all made by bovines and have locked up vast amounts of carbon.
You (by calling yourself Veganguy) and many of your fellow vegans have chosen to define yourselves by your choice of diet, it has become like a religion and like a religion vegans crave converts, hence why you choose to come here to “preach”.

Square mile is 640 acres.
Perimiter is 4 miles 6400 meters.
6400 meters at £5/m is £32000
Quite a considerable outlay.

That's only if the block is square, easy to fence. Which I doubt it is.

That’s manipulation of the market and is illegal under WTO rules as it discriminates against other producers. Take it up with the WTO.
