Out of interest are you reasonably good free draining land?I only ask as from what most of said water logging of the roots has been the cause the shorter crops this year.Ours still the height of tractor bonnet, couple of poorer waterlogged patches shorter but overall just as tall as normal

If that’s the case I assume OSR on chalk soils haven’t suffered so badly.
Whatever the cause, it appears to be nationwide.
It’s not extreme cold temperature related as we all had a pretty mild winter.
I can only guess it’s a result of OSR roots sitting in field capacity saturated soil for 6 full months.
Why not save from harvest?Anyone else ordered seed yet?
