Cause they don’t like it up em
Well you could compare it with Adam Hanson on Countryfile with a never ending supply of gleaming new machinery & decide which gives a better reflection of the average UK farm, trying to get the publics understanding whilst showing off your latest £100,000 bit of kit doesn't help one iota!Bless you. Jeremy has you in his enthral, like he has most on this forum. The gullible will be gullible I guess. Love Island is another show for the gullible.
So why does the nfu push rt then....?Why does everybody care so much ?? The general public doesn’t give a f**k about there food or where it comes from… maybe a small percentage does but that percentage already know…. The general public want food as cheap and easily accessible as possible and they don’t don’t care how they get it no amount of press will ever change that
I do have some sympathy with this. Kate Morgan has put her head above the parapet and spoken about the pig crisis and on behalf of the NPA and sadly a few on here took that all the wrong way and question her business (built from nothing, second generation and I repeat again at the forefront of welfare friendly production)That is exactly why!
Why doesn't Borris come on to get shredded too?
People on here can criticise the NFU or Red Tractor, but not many are offering a group visit around their farm or to show their accounts oe record keeping ti show how good they are at their job.
I'm not a huge NFU or Red Tractor fan, but I can understand why they'd avoid an unprofessional platform where people can say you're ugly from behind a mask.
Do you mean the Jeremy Clarkson who had the NFU on his show, and was advised by them? The Same Jeremy Clarkson who was at the NFU's press event last week?I think Jeremy Clarkson has probably done more good for British farming in one year than NFU, AHDB and RT have done in the last 20.
Not that I'm knocking all the behind the scenes things that these organisations do that is unseen.
Clarkson has his bubble of fans- who are also likely to be low hanging fruit from a farming perspective. Reality is, his popularity was on the wane long before the BBC sacked him, and the audience for Clarkson's farm is going to be fairly niche. Farmers love him. Speaking to friends outside of the ag bubble, his show has pretty much gone un noticed...Bless you. Jeremy has you in his enthral, like he has most on this forum. I wonder whether it is an income and profit generator for them as it is for the auditing companies themselves? So why does the nfu push rt then....?
It is actually one of, if not 'the' most successful and watched shows Amazon has ever produced.Do you mean the Jeremy Clarkson who had the NFU on his show, and was advised by them? The Same Jeremy Clarkson who was at the NFU's press event last week?

I think you must have a fairly small group of friends outside agriculture as his show knocks Countryfile into a cocked hat!Do you mean the Jeremy Clarkson who had the NFU on his show, and was advised by them? The Same Jeremy Clarkson who was at the NFU's press event last week?

A fairly broad spectrum- mainly Manchester/London based from who I've spoken to. Wouldn't be interested in watching Countryfile either.I think you must have a fairly small group of friends outside agriculture as his show knocks Countryfile into a cocked hat!
Say's Who? I can't see that Amazon claim this?It is actually one of, if not 'the' most successful and watched shows Amazon has ever produced.
Totally. Jeremy is promoting his farm shop and the Clarkson brand if farming benefits it’s not his intention.Bless you. Jeremy has you in his enthral, like he has most on this forum. The gullible will be gullible I guess. Love Island is another show for the gullible.
Wouldn’t know I’m not a red tractor or Nfu memberSo why does the nfu push rt then....?

There's this
Clarkson's Farm ratings: Just how popular is Clarkson's Farm?
CLARKSON'S FARM has been a smash hit for Amazon Prime, racing to the number one spot within days of its premiere. But just how popular is the series?www.express.co.uk
This, which may be a bit biassed.
Clarkson's Farm breaks Amazon Prime records – will there be a second series?
Will we get more Diddly Squat action?drivetribe.com
Judging by the numbers turning up to didly squat I have a feeling you could be very much mistaken, I can't see country folk turning up for a few potatoes can you?A fairly broad spectrum- mainly Manchester/London based from who I've spoken to. Wouldn't be interested in watching Countryfile either.
Both Clarkson and CF are debated ad nauseum in the ag/rural echo chamber. Both considered irrelevant outside of it. (albeit CF does still get decent viewing figures- mainly middle class/rural. CF does also declare viewing figures, unlike Amazon shows)
Amazon don't publish viewing figs, but do say it's been more popular than the grand tour- which they've axed as a format pretty much
I'd say that Whitehouse and Mortimer gone fishing is the most popular "rural" show at the moment.
There's a few people I'm friends with on Facebook who've been- all farmers. All complained about the prices, but posted pics of their kids posing with JC/Kaleb etc.Judging by the numbers turning up to didly squat I have a feeling you could be very much mistaken, I can't see country folk turning up for a few potatoes can you?
