We are all living such sheltered lives!
My OH works in social care and regularly helps kids whose parents are either unable through drink and/or drugs to feed themselves or their kids properly or more sadly, parents who have mental health or Learning disabilities.
Whatever the reasons, it's not the kids fault.
give such parents more money and what do we think they will spend it on then ? Cooking lessons and food for their kids ? I doubt it !
I’ve always felt benefits should not be paid as cash, they should be food and essentials vouchers / credits that can only be spent on food, not drink, fags, sky tv etc
i am 100% happy to pay tax to help feed people, look after their health and house them but I am not happy to buy them drink, drugs, alcohol, sky tv, iPhone and a few new tattoo, And then listen to them complain they can’t feed their kids
There is already support for these kids. This is just politics.I find it embarrassing that members of the most heavily subsidised industry in the UK are whining about a few quid to feed underprivileged kids. It's not their fault their parents are poor or just lazy wasters and they shouldn't be penalised because of it..
McDonald's doing free children's meals now so should keep the beef market moving

Nothing against him whatsoever. He is doing what he feels is right. But the politicians are jumping on the bandwagon for their own political gainI don't think Marcus Rashford is following any polital agenda.
