Why is it so hard deciding on a sheepdog name

We are soon getting a new bitch and we are having trouble deciding on a new name that we all like, after our last which is more of a cattle dog and too strong with the sheep which resulted in my father having to call her off them as she would just single one out and now won't go around them without him though I think she is partially sighted though she doesn't have clouded eyes. Due that I suggested we called the new pup Hope short for Hope And Pray It Turns Out To Be A Decent Sheepdog, that did not go down well.

Sometimes a dogs personality suits a name or vis versa,
Do you have a band/ tv or film character etc etc who's name suits?

What does she look like?
Might help us all give you some suggestions!

I went around the scotch bottles so my dog is islay. Probably getting a pup in the autumn I would like to use jura. Mrs Bg thinks that's a name for a dog not a bitch though.

20160424_182843.jpg One of my sister's friend had a cat called Horse and a horse called Mouse so I suggested Kat, we have had a Shandy, Murphy, Jess, Roundie or Rowdie as my dad referred to her as, Sky, Taz, a horse call Lex and a cat called Izzy

You need a short sharp name i think, ours are called Jessy, Winnie and Lexi. They can all be shortened

Aye!

Short, sharp name easily said is best for a worker.

Just thinking all the dogs we have had:

Ben, Jess (these are the current two)

Cap, Shep, Skye,Jim, Dot, Meg, Bob, Jet, Rob, Molly, Glen, Kim...
