Just worked out that around our Cirencester location, since the start of harvest in late July 25% of days have had no rain. :(

I'm sure others on here can beat that though.

In terms of what was forecast for today(lovely dry sunny day) at the start of the week, and what we've actually had(wind and rain without a minute's respite) today might well be the biggest complete forecasting failure that I can recall(I may be fed up and have a short memory..)

It's always keep an eye on the forecast .It's a bit uncertain usually only three days and the they haven't got a clue! The last few weeks it's raining when not forecast.

84 mm rain in October to 3pm today, taking us to 610 mm since 1st June.

Or exactly two bloody feet in old money since the start of " summer".

Similar in this part of Cornwall. Just checked online with local weather station and cumulative total from 1st June to today is 679.3mm
