Nope, not any more. The veg industry is now in the hands of vast agri companies.

If you look at satellite pics of southern Spain It looks to be totally covered in plastic.

Trouble is if they showed what real farming is about no one would buy British food or even any food 😅.. for example:

Dairy/beef farm - dead calves on the yard, cows that can't walk properly, cows with mastitis, slurry running into ditches, dehorning cattle, difficult calving, dead calves again, castrating, hundreds of bad luck incidents broken legs, cattle fighting etc

Sheep farmer, sheep being mauled by dogs, sheep being f**king stupid and just die for no reason, foot rot, maggots on there tails, crows pecking lambs eyes out, all the antibiotics used to keep a sheep alive...

Arable farm- showing the out of touch general public what we put on the land, human manure, chicken manure etc, all the herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, roundup, artificial fertilisers....

So in my opinion keep it warm and cosy as that keeps us in a job 👍

Aye, we had similar on Tyne tees TV. In the days where you made an effort to watch the farming prog. We also had proper farming journalists on the local paper

Farming only decent stuff on TV these days. I just hope it doesn't encourage lots of wealthy city folk to come out and push any starter type farms out of the reach of genuine young entrants. Watched autumn watch for a minute tonight until I saw some one I didn't like ...

'Autumn watch' for me means 'Autumn no-watch' i.e. switch off. Sorry Chris, the sooner the new Beeb Director Tim Davie clips your wings the better
