£14,000 in bank every Friday guaranteed that's what I heard today about egg producer but feed and other costs to come out of that.. he's now putting up another 2 as well as building new house
Why isn't everyone producing eggs?

Perhaps had a win on the EuroMillions.
Won't be much left if he's selling them to a wholesaler, could even be in the red. Need a fair proportion of direct sales and do the job well to make good money. Not easy selling a few thousand dozen a week retail or into shops etc from scratch.

Thats true, 15 years of hard work and then your half knackered shed will pay you a decent wage!
Or, you were already sitting on a chunk of money and were just desperate to buy work for yourself.
The egg job has been good, but at the moment the retailers and packers are taking the p155 and screwing the producer against a backdrop of sky high feed prices. Add in the rocketing cost of raw materials to build new sheds and it doesn’t make sense currently.

I can believe it, add a fair bit more for a new mains connection and a decent access road?
For £1.5 million the AMC gives a repayment of £10490/month over 15 years. Or £5.11/bird for a flock taken to 80 weeks.

At the moment yes I'd say our packer has been pretty fair which helps and we've had a good first flock (so far), are you still pleased with yours?
