Why should I stay..............

speaking of democracy, when will we get a vote on scottish independance? id vote 100% to be rid of them. no more having to put the scots government's massive deficit onto our books (and pay it, and the subsequent interest), no more paying for their free university, free dentistry etc etc which we dont get, HMNB clyde moved to the south coast (multi billion £ boost) etc etc. win win for the english.
So you want to break up the UK?

Can’t blame you for thinking like you do. I do too and I’m not even English, I just happen to think the wrong way. I’ve always been proud to be Scottish but now it’s verging on embarrassment. It makes me very very sad and angry that politicians have been allowed to divide us like they have.

I wouldn’t say they don’t like us but they voted in the government so there must be some level off it about the country’s gone to pot though drink drugs gambling unemployment is rife education is the worst in the union yet there’s the biggest amount off funding poured into it per capita from Westminster and if you listen to the wee cranky it’s all our foult it kinda washes for the first few years but what’s she been doing since to sort it

I would rather keep the union, but they should have to make their books balance before they are allowed to spend English taxpayer money on their free university and dentistry (which the English don't get) and subsidising the general inefficiency of their economy. Devolution needs to work both ways, not as a handout to the Scots.

I think if the resident in number 10 was less of a bellend than the current chap then it would be a different picture.

Unfortunately Boris ticks so many of the bumbling arrogant posh boy stereotype boxes that it does half the job for Nicola…… all she has to do is point from a distance and say …..this guy? “They” voted in this guy to be in charge?…….

he bumbles,u-turns and waffles his way through, she stands up in her smart suit and good hair and is very precise in her presentation. Whilst quite often lying through her teeth.

“Judge me on my record” she said about education…….. well, pretty shite Nicola, teachers hamstrung with form filling, targets and statistics, but it’s ok, they’ve brought in some zombie obsessed cretin to write a programme for having pornography discussions with 12yr olds. Bunch of c-units

Also some of the snp strongholds are the same areas where folk are still having fights over William of Orange 🤦‍♂️. Take from that what you want. 🤣

I'm pretty ambivalent about the current Scottish Government. I don't agree with a lot of their ideals and motives, but they govern relatively adequately.
However there is not much other options when you look at Holyrood.
I also think they are a lot less rotten than the current UK government.

At the end of the day, we all have the ability to do our bit to try and change it. We can campaign, support opposition parties, stand for election ourselves. It all depends how unhappy we are with the current lot and how motivated we are.

I don't like the current constitutional set up, however I'm not sure what the answer is. Federalism?

We need England far far more than England needs us. If England held a referendum on our behalf, we’d be cut adrift to the temporary joy of wee nippy and that oaf Blackford!
After the stampede of cash out of Scotland, there would be feck all left, bar midgies and buckfast!🤦‍♂️
Hold that taxi @AftonShepherd, I’m coming with you !
I was going job hunting not pub crawling, but I suppose a couple of days wouldn't do any harm. Might even get used to warm beer 🤣🤣

The biggest problem in politics up here IMO is the fact that there is absolutely no opposition to hold nippy to account. Even the journalists seem to hold a candle for her.
The complete failings of the snp in education, the calmac ferry fiasco, the salmond inquiry, etc etc should be an open goal for any half decent political operator or journalist, but no one has even laid a finger on her. Ridiculous.

As for her sham marriage to the ceo of the party. 🙄🙄
Nippy bought a penthouse apartment in a new gated development in Bridge of Allan a few years ago to move into with her girlfriend when she was done with politics. At the moment her “husband“ is apparently holed up in it hiding away from any media scrutiny. The hypocrisy is astounding
