That’s what beats me about the whole thing. Very little clear information at all. More questions than answers. The Chinese don’t seem to be letting it roll. We seem to letting it roll but slowly and under control.
Masks work, no they don’t. Keep borders open, no close them.
And all the time we feel like turkeys waiting for Christmas.

Loads of graves dug in advance, refrigerated artics parked in car parks to take dead bodies, yet no one being told to wear masks and the media talking about relaxing the lock down after this week?

Talk of Bill Gates company having found a vaccine, don't know what to believe.

The media are the biggest problem in all this. Or at least ours are. The farce of them whipping everyone into a frenzy about a govt meeting that was scheduled three weeks ago is utterly absurd. The meeting was only ever about continue as we are, why would they even think to speculate anything else was gonna happen? Grrrrrrr

Probably when someone dies, here, if they have a positive test for cvd it is put down as coronavirus . Perhaps some countries put down the underlying disease, such as COPD , cancer, heart etc.
the real statistic which matters is the gross deaths on a weekly V mean basis.
The last real figure ending 27/03/2020 is about a 10% rise , viz, 11,000 deaths against a mean of around 10,000.
however this can be confused by Easter.
it does indicate that we should not be over concerned at the moment

But if you look at the world picture it’s only the cluster in NW Europe and USA that have thousands of deaths, even India is not that bad considering its population, when this is all done and dusted there will be an awful lot of questions that we may or may not get the answers to. Why Spain and not Portugal, why Italy and not Greece, I have a feeling it will be linked to our genetics going back thousands of years.

Could it not also be related to immune system robustness? Countries with a population that spends more time in the outdoors and an active lifestyle would have more active immune systems because more exposure to various germs, viruses, microbes, etc.

How people live, type of accommodation, how they travel and socialize, its all to do with how its spread , age would only be a minor factor imo
Lockdown stops it which says it all
