Inhibitors are fine with the heat meters. Its Ofgem that will be fussy! As long as you are only using the recommended rates of 1% or so then the meter calibration will be OK and Ofgem are fine. You would be foolish to run any heating circuit without the appropriate corrosion inhibitors in it, your boiler and pipe work will be quietly dissolving otherwise. Always best to include the type of inhibitor and rate on your RHI application to cover your back!

Reading this thread, the only thing I would advise is to get it checked and repaired by a trained individual, as it is obvious (and this is not intended to be rude), that you are not aware of what you are working with, and more importantly what can happen when the tiered safety system fails.

This video shows a relatively small system where the pressure relief and temp shut offs were over riden to see what happens (yes i know it is a tv show - but the end result is real)

Water when heated under pressure does not boil at the same 100 degrees as it does in the normal atmospheric pressure, therefore you can do what is termed super heat water, which then requires a a sysyem of safety measures to prevent this super heated water being released into the atmosphere - because if that were to happen via relief valve, split in tank - then the volume of water expands rapidly by a factor of around 1500 to 1600 times the water volume, ergo a bomb.

If you have not had the appropriate training, it is not worth taking risks due to the potential end results.
