Wild hog problems

Young farmer from ohio aways wanted to go hog hunting but not spend a bunch of money. I was hoping I could find someone from down south that would let me come down for a couple days and hunt

Come over here if you want, you can chase our pigs around the intake with a stick for a small fee.

well i can't fathom it ...did a wild hog get in and kill them?...why are they in a tiny fenced enclosure?

I imagine it’s a trap with a one way door so they can get in and not get back out, like a giant Larson trap.

Err, they are feral ( wild ) pigs

they were caught in a spear trap - a one way opening

they were then dispatched

as long as none escape ( & learn from it ) you can keep using it for quite a while

Seen drop traps used a escaped pigs never seen again, guess as long as the pigs take the bait your trap will keep yielding , how many are you removing like that?

I had some correspondence with a Welsh spaniel breeder/trainer who had emigrated to Texas. He reckoned wild pig hunting with a pack of pit bull terrier crosses on quad bikes beat any other sport he had tried. Do a search on Youtube and you may agree!

Done a bit of pig hunting in NZ with dogs, seemed to use blue healers a lot and whatever dog they found in the pound
