Sold the lawnmower
Looks scary as frigg!
Just a word of warning if you thought of getting a pair of pea fowl. we have one visits from a house down the lane , and I quite like seeing it here , I feeds on odds and ends of feed , and bits of squashed potato from under the telehandler wheels . HOWEVER , if you value your car , and especially if you polish it , don't be tempted . They like to admire themselves in the mirrors or the shiny bodywork , and as they fly up , their "toenails " are very prone - certain I would say , to deep scratch the paintwork . It's done mine , and my neighbour who was a bit more posh than I am , with a Merc , got so peed off with his that he got his shotgun out and shot the pair ! And that was after he'd put a dressmaker's full length mirror in the yard to try to accommodate their reening .Peacock central tonightView attachment 814944

Can anyone identify this bird? Landed in the garden briefly yesterday. Pheasant like thing with orange legs, apologies for the poor pics.

Strangely enough the same brute just about gave me a heart attack a minute ago when I was checking the bull in a steading a mile away, it was roosting on the gate! Not a great pic again but it was getting pretty dark.Looks like some of ornamental pheasant .
