Gathering sheep today and I had a look at this new badger sett. Last year it was just a little rabbit hole, now there must be 5-6 ton of soil dug out, perhaps more. There's another big sett 250 yds one way and another 400 yds the other. I don't know what is the recommended stocking density for badgers but I think we may be overstocked. No wonder there's not many ground nesting birds about, and it's not as if it's intensive agriculture

After evicting my machinery loving blackbird from the sprayer after her first clutch she has now taken up residence on the sprayer tractor 🙄 tucked in on the end of the starter motor the warmth of the engine with incubate the eggs for her but she still enjoys a trip around the farm sitting tight 🙈

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.

Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy

On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.

Discussion with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) officers confirmed the site...
