Can totally recommend Kania traps. Instant kill and once you have got rid of the troublesome ones you get normal ones - no raiders and stay away.
They learn from each other far more than I thought,
Fortunately the little grey devils haven't really got to us South of the reservoir at present, this one was in Devon

Looking again, I think there are 2 species - the top picture may be a leopard - slim and light grey.
The branded animals are to my untrained eye not leopards - too dark, too pudgy and too short a snout. (I'm not sure you could brand a leopard seal, no matter how brave you are!)

It’s the same seal u7 97 last 2 photos taken by a friend walking the in the morning, then we went to see It later in the day .
Freeze branding got ban in 1999
The information I got was from the Australian park’s officer wild animal department.
There a lot of talking going on to which spacey it is.👍🏻

Hi @CPF yes, you are right, its the same beast.
The upturned corner of the mouth looks very strange for a leopard. Leopards have a very "flat" mouth which gives their very distinctive reptilian appearance.
The "lot of talk about what spacey it is" - do you mean here or at Aussie wildlife dept
?

A weigh, ring & sexing - day for us today, so lucky to catch the first box as the are ready to fledge in a day or so. 1 male & 1 female this year. As has been said the young female has spots on the underside of their wings.
The younger ones are again 1 male & 1 female + the remains of one that didn't make it. We put this box up last year - but was occupied by Jackdaws....... not so this year. :)

Good pictures, does your daughter live somewhere gifted in wildlife, I was there for 6 months and the only wild wildlife that I saw were a few cockatoos and a snake or two.

I liked the Magpie - or at least the noise it makes, never saw one.
