One of the most eloquent speakers I have heard come up against Monbiot.

He is the person we need to speak up for the industry.

Will Cockbain is on the board of Natural England hence he and George Monbiot were always going to be fairly well aligned.
We are doomed as an industry if we need to rely on Natural England to guide our farming futures and policy decisions because Agriculture will play second fiddle to environmentalism.

If Monbiot and his ilk are given their way, they will create a rare breed.

A breed hefted to these hill for hundreds of years, it will leave a gap that gapes like a tumble down wall, because there will be non of the breed left to tend it.

The true hill farmer should be put on a watch list.
