Will human trafficking to UK by E.U. gangs stop after Brexit?

It was obvious new types of crime would emerge when borders were opened.Wish the bleeding hearted Libs could be trafficked in the opposite direction

At present any refugee is supposed to register in the first country they come too, however most see the Northern countries as a better bet though. I cannot see the situation changing after Brexit unless the country slides into severe recession. We still have theissue that for the bulk of refugees , English is their second langauge. This means English shores willbe the destination of choice and we can be certain the French will do nothing to stop them, why should they.

We all know what is supposed to have happened, but as @Exfarmer has pointed out, the rEU does not apply the rules. They have no desire to do so and have always been happy to let these people carry on northwards so that their own country does not have the problem.

The French know that none of these people should ever have reached France, but they will not apply their own rules either. Like the rEU they just hope these people will continue to move through to another country.

Yet some folks still wonder why those who care for the UK voted to leave this supposed "Union".

It might get worse when the French stop busting a gut keeping them on the mainland, no?

When was he last time the French ever "bust a gut" to do anything in the world interest?

Well at the moment holding a load of immigrants, who for some reason that escapes me, that want to go to England, in camps in Calais.

Hardly busting a gut is it? France does not even make an effort to have these people seek asylum there. Almost every country in the EU (three have opt outs) has to abide by the rules that asylum seekers must register in the first EU country in which they arrive - or are detected.

Your posts have a distinct anti-English tone to them at times. Rather odd for an Englishman is it not? Perhaps you should have considered a move to Australia where there are still many first generation offspring of English ex-pats who do nothing but run down England. You could then have cheered on the Aussie teams against England in a few sports, especially cricket. Do they play cricket in France?

I haven't seen any cricket here. Mainly football, tennis and cycling.

England were here last year for the football, I didn't run them down but they didn't do very well anyway, did they? Wales did very well though; and France and Portugal.

I must admit, it is hard running down England here, if we are amongst English. They are all beating me to it.
For someone who purports to like the uk so much, you have spent a huge chunk of your life living away from it? (Yes, yes, I know, when hell freezes over you intend to move to Scotland, providing it isn't independent by then or...) Also. I am hardly going to take a lecture about how great it is from someone who hasn't hardly been there, on the ground so to speak, for how many years?. I lived my whole life there until 3.5 years ago, I know how crap it is

They don't want to be in France and they make every effort to avoid being registered here. My neighbours daughter who is a teacher has a couple in her class. They have no French and no intention of learning it, they do however have reasonable English so she has to deal with them in English. This scenario is going on in hundreds of Schools throughout the country. I do however blame the EU commission for it's total lack of action in dealing with this situation in a robust no nonsense manner.

Don't you know by now, that expression of an opinion in contravention of the thoughts and musings of @Old McDonald, you are automatically a heritic of one of two separate and distinct kinds.

A. If you are not British, you are a hater of Britain and all things British. My profile has been filed under that particular category on more than one occasion.
B. If you are British or more specifically English in your case, your file is categorised as "anti English" or "anti British" as the case may be.

Apparently spending ones time under the warm glow of the EU ..... oops I mean Iberian sun, having ones several different British pensions wired out to one's self after a lifetime of travel outside of Britain is the ultimate sacrifice for ones country.
Not many would be up to the task I imagine.

He's right though, isn't he.

Both of you can really be a miserable couple of blighters; and all about what is, to you, a foreign country, the fortunes of which need not bother you. A lot of these posts come across as spiteful and sneering rather than being constructive discussion, unlike, say, posts from the kiwis on here - who really have more reason to gripe, but don't.

edited to say, I don't really understand why you bother. Pickling yourselves in bile can't make you happy, can it?

Oh well, maybe there's a clue in the Trump thread, where we tell the Americans how to run their country, and predict disaster which doesn't seem to happen...eh @Roger Perry?
