Will my car insurance be affected?

Won't go into to much detail but today I had an accident in the bosses tractor resulting in it being a write off(we think) he's took all my details as he will need to say I was the one driving, he said it won't affect my car insurance or NCB it'll only affect his insurance, I'm 17 and insurance is already really high, will it affect my insurance ?

I've deleted it as wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble, it's my bosses tractor but not he's trailer, we are sub-contracted in for a big farm using my bosses tractor but using there trailers to haul the seed. He said to me that lads that have accidents before there car insurance has been fine, I've gave him my name, date of birth and license number so he can tell his insurance who was driving

Sh!t happens Dan, onwards and upwards. Put it down to experience. And never let it happen again!

I've had a few big accidents myself. If you don't do big jobs you don't get big fudge ups.

As long as your okay that's all that matters. Twisted metal can be replaced. That's why farmer has insurance.
Yeah, I'll slowly get my confidence back and not go rushing straight back into it all, it's shook me big time, I'm just glad I didn't hurt anyone else. It's been an experience I'll never forget, but I'll learn from it and make sure it doesn't happen again

If your boss isn't covered to do contracting on his policy then the tractor is NOT covered and thus he is uninsured when this accident took place.....

I've been told he's fully insured and is covered to do contracting

That is good, I wouldn't worry about having an accident, we have all had them and anyone that tells your otherwise is a lier as the person who has never made a mistake has yet to be born!!

Key is to learn from it and not make the same mistake again.

Ref the car insurance, it may depend which company you are with, best thing you can do is be honest and upfront with them, worst case situation is they are difficult and you have to find another insurer that doesn't hold this accident against you as even thou the current company might do not all insurance company's will.
