Makes you wonder if its really an invasion at all.

Completely agree. This proxy war needs to stop. We also need to think long and hard about how we reconnect with normal Russians after this. Sanctions are likely making the oligarchs etc. think twice about the man in charge. But they risk alienating and isolating the main population. There the ones who can give lasting change to Russia. I mean is banning sports people and performing artists when there supposed to be the ones that build bridges really a wise move?

A light in the dark seems to be the Chinese. Surprisingly, given their view of the Pacific. Perhaps the idea of sanctions against a heavily weakened economy, whilst struggling with covid, doesn't sound so brilliant at the moment. If I were Boris, or Biden or Macron or any western leader I would be trying to speak to them ASAP. Id say they have the most clout with regards to settling this matter and at least allowing an uncomfortable peace while we decide what to do next.

All the Chinese care about is what this war is costing them.

I find it interesting the expectations of people and MSM in the face of war. Olexander Usyk was shamed for not travelling back to Ukraine to fight only 48 hours after the Klichkos joined (he joined asap) and the BBC report that obviously all the scientists have fled. Why is a scientist less able to operate fighting equipment than a boxer? Little talk of equality atm.

Because a scientist can be too valuable of an asset and some may have knowledge that you really wouldn't want Russia to have.

I know what you mean about the general population not being Putin... but the Czech experience with Russians didn't leave them thinking that there are any good ones (live ones anyway)😕

Appreciated. That number with senstive knowledge is very, very small though. What it shows is the western view on who should fight, the educated should by right be allowed a free pass.

May the Lord our God protect and preserve us when that happens.

May the Lord God of Israel, Isaac and Jacob; the Lord and Creator of all that is was and will be, send us a miracle greater than the Angel of Mons and the parting of the Red Sea.

And may the teachings of the prophet from Nazareth find fertile ground in the hearts of all involved in conflict!

We're all just people. The vast majority want to just live their lives and get along. Hopefully the outcome of whatever happens is that we can all just do exactly that, get along.

If anybody has friends or contacts in the cities of Ukraine tell them to forget their Rambo style molotov cocktails the Russians will not get involved in street to street fighting just bombing, what they will do as soon as they surround a city will be to cut off the gas, electric & more importantly water, you can manage with little food but not without water, they should fill every bath, basin & whatever they have before it is cut off completely or worse deliberately contaminated.

It's about to get very ugly I fear. What a mess.
