Will Putin invade the Ukraine ?

Biden is about to get in a tank and invade himself.

He is that crazy and unpredictable he will start a war before Putin.

Ukraine has a right to self determination.

Russia has illegally invaded and annexed parts of Ukraine to prevent them exercising that right.

Neither Biden nor the media have moved close to 200,000 Russian troops into positions surrounding Ukraine.

I disagree entirely with those who blame the current situation on anyone but Putin.

I do hope you've been drinking, as at least that would give you some excuse for such a daft statement.

If you were talking about Trump I'd agree about being unpredictable except when it came to Putin and Russia of course he was always on their side.

I wonder why, ???
honey trap probably when he was last in Russia hosting Miss World, underage and on video no doubt !!!

Biden has been perfectly predictable, negotiate but firmly backing NATO and it's territory if push comes to shove.

The amount of appeasement to Putin on here is mind blowing.

As my Granny used to say, "You'll get on with the Devil if you give him all his own way"

Wake up people, Ukraine soon then getting NATO to leave Eastern Europe, then soon after we're directly affected.

If we give in to the bully !!!

Spot on 👍

I think if I was an American taxpayer I might wonder why their troops are over here to help secure the freedom for so many on TFF that seem completely ungrateful.

I'm one Brit / Scot that's grateful to our American military friends backing us up.

Am I the only one worried about the age of the leaders in question. It is a bit worrying Putin is nearly 70 and Biden is 80 at that age people are usually wondering about where they left the TV remote not trying to start world war 3.
( note to world leaders the remote is in the fridge next to your car keys)
Absolutely, wisdom comes with age, but so does memory loss.

I agree.
Usually by 70 folk are looking to retire off the committee of my local agricultural show. That an 80 year old is US President is frankly crackers.

There has been so much talk of a phantom EU army, as it is Europe that is in the firing line of any perceived Russian expansion should it not be the countries of Europe moving their tanks to the Ukraine border in a comparable show of strength, seems to me as always if it came to it Europe & especially the EU would go crying to the US & UK to come to their rescue once again?

Well you’d hope that the Germans/Italians/Spanish would be on our side this time and that the French might actually chip in?!

An EU army would be a disaster. Who commands it? The EU government? Fudge that. It's bad enough having them dream up pointless legislation and policy that cripples Europe, much less deciding they will send troops somewhere to promote their own interests.

NATO has kept the peace for decades. Without the might of the US the Cold war would have been a disaster.

Rumour is bidens overhyping things for political gain?
Could well be. But the facts remain. He annexed once and will take more if allowed to. He seemingly poisens on foreign soil on request, locks up his political rival, and changes the laws to ensure he stays in power. As bent as a five bob note...
You can expect more if not held to account that is for sure, and other crackpots are watching this too 😔

Well what about this?
Let him move into Ukraine unopposed if he wants to. Lives and infrastructure saved. International condemnation and moral outrage. Putin as a pariah leader confirmed globally.
He now has the job of keeping a whole country full of fairly angry people supressed, something which will stretch his resources like they have never been stretched before. Tanks aren't that useful against pop up terrorists.
The folks in Belarus and indeed in Russia itself who are equally as peed off with his regime now face a more diluted suppressive force and the chance of him being overthrown from within increase greatly.
Meanwhile the West gradually stops buying his gas, and freezes all financial support possible. This adds to further discontent within his "empire". Those around him at the top, losing their personnel wealth, start to question the strategy of their leader.
NATO builds forces in Eastern Europe like they've never been built before with full moral justification and international support and isolates him in his now large but almost ungovernable bankrupt failing state.
More than one way to skin a cat.
Call his bluff.

You seem to think an on-going civil war will be bloodless and less destructive than a rapid campaign where Russian forces are smashed by NATO air power and a briars patch of Ukrainian anti armour ambushes?

The problem is these angry people won’t be expressing their anger with a strongly worded letter to the Times and the Russians won’t be controlling these angry people by issuing ASBOs and fixed penalty notices. I reckon they’ll behave a bit like the last invaders of the Ukraine.
