That's because he already used them ...

Saddam was put on trial for a genocidal massacre against the Kurdish people , a crime against humanity , the largest chemical weapon attack against a civilian population in history . Found guilty and hung .

To say he was innocent when he was killed is sickening ...

Are you simple? Read what I said

He was innocent of possessing WMDs when UK/US invaded, and he was captured/killed.

The invasion of Kuwait and the Iran war were before the Gulf war - when Allied forces LEGITIMATELY intervened.

Ok ...

In 2003 he didn't possess any functioning WMD .

He had used them before around 1990 .

.

Goodnight .

I never said he was innocent of the attacks and genocide in the 1980's.

If you could take a moment to actually take in what I have said - he was innocent of possessing WMDs in 2003 when Blair used false intelligence to legitimise an invasion.

Tony Blair wasn't interested in that. He invaded Iraq because he said there were WMD's... of which there were none.

You'll figure it out one of these days 👍

Bush needed some credible allies in order to pursue a war with Iraq and to stop the US looking like an imperial power. Blair was suitably flattered by the attention and importance placed on him by Bush and went along with all the intelligence supplied, much of it from Israel which had a big vested interest in toppling Saddam.
