Has anyone travelled to any country without travel insurance ?
Wow five minutes to get a IDP, us old codgers with paper licences have always needed one
Im sure EU countries will want to have to employ loads of extra staff at entry points, the swiss have already said we will still go through the same channels.
O2 have told me there will be no extra charges on roaming.
But hey keep looking for anything negative if it makes you happy
EHIC does not cover a great deal and people travelling need travel insurance: it is as simple as that.
Good luck with that.
I guess its always a balance, I dont insure buildings for storm damage or flooding and only some for fire, I know what it would cost me to replace them, but not having travel insurance which in my case only costs a tiny percentage of potential costs is a price worth payingI have never taken out travel insurance.
I use this policy with most things in life (hail on osr another example) and use the logic that I have saved so much in premiums, I have my own insurance

I agree with that in many senses, and in all the years I have been skiing I have been very lucky and not asYET(touching wood) made a claim but the risk of having to pay to get air lifted off the mountain and maybe even back to Blighty is a step too far, normally I am covered by bank policy but they only do 21 day trips at a time so for our 77 days this time I think the 180 odd quid each is cheap, airlift off the mountain is several thousand, as a relation of my wifes found out last year by relying on his ehic, it also covers me incase I cause an injury and get sued which these days is becoming more common.Hmm, I always work on the basis that insurance companies are not charities but in business to make a profit after their operating costs, so I take my own risk.
Plus, my place in the uk was burgled so regularly that they wouldn’t insure me anyway. And the police wouldn’t come out eigher, just give a reference number... for my insurance claim.
Can laugh about it now but bloody frustrating at the time.
Last thing I had lifted from there was a 2wd, cabless david brown 995!,,, who would nick such a thing?
Do you think you can get/afford fully comp for this

It came out of my pocket.
If you can’t afford the risk of the activity, don’t fudgein do it.
I don't recall him stating that, but if he did he was entirely wrong, you write it too.I did try to tell him , but I only talk bollox ,according to him
