Will this require any special tools?

Having used them regularly how do you find the quality of said parts?
Reason I ask is I've read somewhere about non original parts being crap/useless or needing altering to fit etc.

I'm over my yard today for a while sorting few bits out for work so will try to get a list of what's needed. Can't say in looking forward to it as know doubt it's going a few £s but needs doing.
Money is in short supply so will probably get bits as I go.
I hoped it wouldn't need all this work when I got it so I could use it to earn £s but at least once it's sorted I'll know it's done right & not going to break down half way through a job or something.
RESTractor, do you supply parts for the cab on this model? It's something I'd like to tidy up once the important things have been done but guessing cosmetics can start adding up to a fair amount of money?
Will PM list when I have some spare time.

Bushes top and bottom of ram and in the centre of clevis right of pic.
If there is oil leaking past the o ring where the chrome rod screws into clevis, the ram rod has cracked and needs replacing. Check 4 ball joints on track rods
 
Thanks for the photos. I have been to my yard today where I took a better look at the steering. It appears the clevis & pin have a fair amount of play/wear. I can't see any oil leaking from the ram so hopefully this is fine. I'm yet to jack it up to check the ball joints etc although I think from looking at them they could well need replacing. After reading about IH adding a third bolt to hold stub axles I checked only to find one bolt isn't even tieghten up so that will make things worse.
Is the best thing to grind the weld off to original size/shape of stub axle the drill a third hole & bolt up TIEGHT? Should the extra bolt go in between the 2 original bolts or after the second bolt?

The third bolt goes between the other two, you'll find the bottom hole I'd bigger than the top as it accommodates a bush, which is part of the new bolt.
Once you get three bolts in & tight they do not come loose as a rule.
But I'd recommend a machine shop doing the job as you have to be very accurate

When you say the bolts come with the bush is this simaler to a shoulder on the bolt?
Would general use course the bolts to come loose? Would it be wise to thread-lock the bolts?

Use the correct IH bolts, they are high tensile fine threaded, the nuts have a taper like a wheel nut, no need for loctite.
Once you get the axle out, take it along with 6 new bolts to a local machine shop & show them where you need the extra bolt.....job sorted, well as far as that bit goes.

Thanks again Gapples for the information as ever very helpful.
Will have drilling done at machine shop as happy to do most of the work sorting tractor out but only things I have faith I can carry out to a decent standard as I want it done properly as it needs to be reliable once sorted out.
Once I sell my little Kubota I'll have the cash to sort all the problems out on it. It's bit scruffy but think it's worth the effort.
