I hope so. The battering I got with hail and wind putting out hay this morning was mighty. Couldn't feel my hands on the quad either when I went and put bags out, coos getting an extra bag as well to try and compensate the weather. Taking it's tole on man, woman, livestock and the land. Dog didn't seem to give a monkeys though!!

My mate in Stirling said there was snow, are you getting snow??

Depends where you are. As far as here is concerned I'm not sure we had a winter and spring has definitely sprung.
Had some rain Tuesday but prior to that I think I could easily have gone ploughing if I wished.
Don't have to travel far to find wet ground though, it is very local.

Weather forecast I saw last night said parts of Queensland could expect well over 600mm of rain in the next 24 hours. Two feet!

I hadn't really thought about it until I saw this thread.

I'm just glad my house hasn't been 2ft under water like some poor folks in other parts.

We're white this morning, but it's still the early half of March, so I'm not too bothered.

If there is still hard frost and snow in mid April I'd consider it a bit more of a nuisance, but even then it wouldn't be unexpected.

People have short memories, and a dry fortnight will help most people forget the winter.
A dry month will have people lamenting a lack of rain.

Until then people will just have to man up and get on with things.

Thankfully no snow but last night was biblically wet

We dodged the snow down here but it was bloody cold on the bike for first rounds. SEPA site says we didn't get too much rain yesterday but the fields are a bloody mess.

Lost 1 or 2 lambs, sadly. But they are the first I've lost to the weather this year. And put it into context, though, there were 27 (at least) ewes lambed yesterday, birthing 40-odd living lambs. Nearly 100 have lambed since Monday.

Forget the short memory... For this area, we have had almost 9months worth of rain since December 1st (using official SEPA figures)
