Scots Pine... the next best thing

No good for commercial forestry. But there should be a hell of a lot more of those trees planted

I have just felled that wood. It was getting heavily windblown, but Scottish forestry wanted that useless bit left for habitat!
It offered little in the way of stock shelter , so I cashed it, and 2 other wee woods in ! It will get replanted next October!
Still not much thaw up at the top this morning!

Looks like it's going into the north east by end of next week so hopefully get a good dry spell
