Will Thistlex do nettles?

Yep will sort them out for this year very nicely...... but they'll be back next year.

Personally, I'm using headland Polo (it's got another name now), it does a very good job on spear thistles, ok job on creepers and ok on nettles.
But importantly doesn't wipe the clover out (probably take the clover plant above ground off but it's always back the next year)

Thistlex will wipe clover out no joking!

Neec to hit some nettles and there are spear thistles in there as well.

Will thistlex hit the nettles?

When we moved here, I had the local Dow man come out to visit. He said (off the record) that Thistlex was actually better for nettles than Pastor. I used a litre or two over the next 2 years, and nettles are all but gone apart from the odd patch and hedge bottoms. It is my 'go to' product for nettles and I am spraying out a couple of acres in mowing grass this afternoon.

Unfortunately nothing will get rid of the seed bank, and every time I disturb the soil, some new ones come up, but thankfully nothing like the acres of jungle we took on. Agree with above that any clover will be wiped out though.

Got 3 litres of Thistlex, how much do I put in a 1000 litre sprayer

You need to start with how much land you are spraying - unless of course you are doing multiple 1000 ltr runs.

This is the label: https://www.corteva.co.uk/content/dam/dpagco/corteva/eu/gb/en/files/labels/Thistlex-label.pdf

You could put 5l in a 1000l sprayer and spray at 200l per hectare. Then you can cover 5 hectares in one load.

Or you could put 2.5l in and spray at 400l per hecatare. Then you can cover 2.5 hecatares in one load.

Preference is yours.

I can only apologise how embarrassing this all is for you.

I am simply asking a question, I am sure there is plenty you do that other farmers scoff at.

Being dyslexic dies really get covered in your beloved sprayer course.

I've not done the course, so wouldn't spray nor know what it covered. I'm just amazed that someone can be considered and cerified as competent to do so when the basics obviously aren't there.
