So, the BBC has reported about the changes to milk labeling, from a farm, with cows standing in sxxt, and water as a backdrop. As most people know, water attracts bacteria, bacteria causes disease..............

The narrative has been conveniently shifted from Supermarkets to farms, even though farmers have zero influence on labeling, why were the Supermarket involved not interviewed ????

The images portray cows wandering about in pool of water (which of course is normal) but no one cares, as this is how all Dairy Farms operate anyway !!!!!

Who allowed them to film at that position ?????

Another PR disaster.............. !!

The biased broadcasting Corp will have picked the bit of film to show dairying in the worst light, it was probably filmed without the farmers knowledge when they were on farm filming something else, then the clip saved in a folder named 'Bad PR farm' or somesuch
Some farms are just sh!t holes, and decent farmers should call them out. UK animal welfare and environmental measures are only as strong as the lowest denominator.

It wasn't bad in my eyes, but the general public would expect cows to be frolicking about in green grassy fields on a sunny day. Maybe it would have been better to have filmed a group in a freshly strawed down shed ?
I do cringe when I see them filmed sticking their heads through feed barriers also. We know that they aren't trapped, but the ignorant could view them as prison bars ?

There was also an interview on this with a bod from WRAP who confidently claimed agriculture contributed 35% of the UK's GHG emissions.

So, the BBC always skews the story away from the obvious positive narrative, omit any interview that doesn't suit their angle, "wrap" it up in lies and BS, and hey presto, Veganuary get s few more participants!!!

One wonders what goes through a farmers mind when they get the call "we'd like to come a film a piece for BBC Breakfast on your farm?" Surely by now, everyone in farming knows they're gonna get shafted by Auntie Beeb?!

Rather than hiding the less palatable parts of the truth, resources would be better spent educating consumers. Otherwise skeletons in closets have a habit of dancing out.

I was watching dragons den the other night and 2 guys had invented an app for buying cheese. Deborah Midden would not invest because she had issues with the ethics of the dairy industry. Others were prepared to invest though!

Deborah’s a bellend, anti livestock farming but more than happy to imprison a poor defenceless horse and force it to haul her sour face round the countryside.

even more worrying was the 'entrepreneurs' response, in saying that all of their cheese was made using milk from small, grass fed herds of less than 200 cows!
I can't believe they got the investment! They projected a year 4 profit of £2000 and then by year 5 a customer base of 24 million!
Daft as it sounds, I think Deborah Meaden was the only dragon that kept her head there.(albeit for the wrong reasons)

The result of shifting the narrative.

Today's Daily Mail story:

"Milk is the third most wasted food and drink product in the UK, with 490 million pints going down the drain each year. It also has the largest carbon footprint of any food and drink due to the farming involved in production.

One litre can account for up to 4.5kg of CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere – the equivalent of driving the average petrol car for 16 miles."

No mention of the CO2 added in the supply chain, only farming. That is what happens when you focus the image elsewhere, and away from the real story.

As I said earlier, a PR disaster !!
