In Northern Ireland. I have one kid at secondary. Testing has never been mentioned. Wife is a teacher though, so she is 'supposed' to do a twice weekly lat flow.

Young relative has had two weeks off straight after going back to school after easter as someone in the class tested positive. Then he claimed last week that he was in contact with another positive, and started another two weeks off. Talk about disruptive. However, it happened to be his cousin, whom he claimed he had been in contact with. Turns out his daddy phones round, and cousin denies it. He had just spotted the opportunity for another two weeks off and was going to grab it! Daddy sent him packing the next day.😆

I reckon a sexy black branded mask will look brill!! WRC or something similar !!
Better than the tanker driver I saw the other day with his blue mask - it looked like it had seen sterling service through the whole previous 12 months judging by the faded and crumpled appearance !!

Nope, mandatory masking is counterproductive, chief medical officer told me and boris and whitty
sorry to be late to the party. You asked why people wear a mask and stated that it was to be part of the group and feel they were doing their bit.
Well I wore a mask all the time. I also volunteered to help people. While helping people i encountered some with covid.. I kept wearing my mask to protect me and my family while doing my best to help others. I enjoy helping people, it makes me happy. Is that bad?

My kids bring lat flow tests home, think they supposed to do them and fill in forms.
No one bothers apparently
as a parent, what do you think your response to them should be? do you let them make up their own minds or do you try to teach them? not having a go just genuinely interested in your approach as a parent.

Not at all. I volunteer for all sorts and give up a lot of time for nothing but satisfaction that we did something good. Not sure what that has to do with masks though.

Well, my girls are 16, 18 and 20 so are largely beyond listening to their dad.
They want to fit in, so go along with stuff more than I would like.

My child is fully informed and well educated. He asked me for my consent for inschool testing which I gave. Did a few at home but says at some point the govt will have to "just get on with it" and has stopped now.
