I am absolutely baffled as to why the youth haven’t taken to the streets. Surely it’s time for some rioting they really are very well behaved.
TBH I think a lot of them do but we have such an authoritarian state these days that they can't express it and I think the education system dumbs them down as far as they can to be non humans like themselves. . I'll sit and chat with my 16 year old and consider his opinions to be as valid as my own. He's a great lad and I'm very proud of him.

Are they distressed , poor souls don't know where their next fix is coming from .
Looks like the one needing a fix is you. It's seems the antipsychotic medicine is wearing off and the Tourettes is coming out again. Best sit back in your chair and let someone plug it in. Or maybe Yoga get yourself off to a Yoga retreat in India that might chill you out.

I don't know about authoritarian state. I think it's more that society has been bought off and has everything it needs. The State gives people everything from your SFP to the NHS it's just handed out leaving people to ignore the ridiculous wealth amassed by corporations such as Google or Amazon. With Covid we have been sold a massive collective guilt which has allowed the Government to control a largely non thinking population.

Absolutely!
My only hope is for an increasing minority who see through this rubbish.
To that end, forcing people on the margins to continue to do increasingly stupid nonsense is a help.
Those who follow rules may go to weddings but not dance now I see.
It's just an extension of putting your mask on to go to the toilet in restaurants I guess.

Totally agree. What's the right word for it then? Dystopian? You can even see it on here. People getting hysterical about a relatively slightly bad flu. I've put up facts from the ONS, posted videos showing actual 'science' comparing Sweden to Ireland etc. but people don't want to know. The RULES. The RULES. As you say, the usual suspects are making a fortune out of our misery.

I often wonder what it does to what some would call the sexual marketplace. I am in no way interested in another relationship with a woman. Been there, done that, got the T Shirt, lost the T shirt. But my click and collect lady has very pretty eyes and we often sit and chat but that's all you can see of her face and face to face and expressions are very important for that kind of communication. Then she said she was divorced with 2 kids and I legged it.

Same here, can’t hear people properly nor recognise friends, all bad for social interaction.

Just copied these couple of sentences from a BBC news analysis piece - given this then presume restrictions will probably stay until mid 2022!! I will get a multi buy pack of masks!

Infections are currently climbing sharply and modellers believe this could realistically translate into around 1,000 hospital admissions a day later in the summer.
That is equivalent to what the NHS would face for all types of respiratory illness in the middle of a bad winter.

The same model that predicted 7,000 deaths a day back in march ?
