I've never worn a mask and not going to start now. There is no high quality evidence that they offer any benefit. If anyone is daft enough to think that a manky contaminated old rag in their car ash tray is beneficial - then carry on . Some studies now emerging showing harm from mask wearing. It's all just compliance theatre and you are the actors.

Many surgeons prior to this even stopped using them in surgery because of the lack of science as to their effectiveness. Including this former president of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Just shows that even surgeons are not immune from ignorance.

About 30 years ago I wore a mask to keep dust out of my mouth and nose when unloading bedding sawdust into a loosebox.
I learned the mask kept most of the dust out but my glasses steamed up!
Masks might (?) be better today. But Covid is likely a smaller organism than fine sawdust. And my glasses still steamed up with a Covid mask, even a purchased not homemade one.
So I don’t worry about masks for Covid, consider them useless - and don’t use sawdust for bedding any more.

Indeed! I'm just not really understanding why people have stopped wearing them if they believe in them so much.
Infection rates are close to all time highs and no one seems to want to make this "small sacrifice" any longer.

There's a few folk in the local supermarket, including staff, not wearing them now, not sure what's changed, just got pi**ed off with it?
Had to get the kids from school at lunch time as half the teachers were going home early due to flood warnings. Noticed some of the teachers wearing them and some (including the principal) not The kids say it depends what room they're in:scratchhead:

This thread will be 1000 pages long in a few yrs if you're about😉
The reason Essex and others shouldn’t stop is to expose the incompetent clowns who run our life’s who are doing more damage than good with their measures most of it based on nothing other than guess work or in their words following the science
