The very same company made the first TANKS or to be precise Water carriers for Mesopatania. A local spray contractor is a direct relation of the Foster family. I also had a great aunt who was an industrial nurse in the war in the factory. We did not realise until it was to late but she was also a governess to the Tsars children.

That's Fine! They also built traction engines to power them. There is a sculpture on a roundabout in Lincoln to commerate the company and most of the wards in Lincoln County Hospital are named after the Heavy Engineering Companies (most have gone) that were based in the city.
