We've got a safety frame/canopy made. Gonna put grill guards in between the gaps with 15mm bar. Was just wanting to see other people's set ups. For a few ideas.....
Drew up all the plates and got them profiled. Easier than arsing about cutting them.
Yeah the back wheels are 8 lug david brown 16.9 r34 rims. With the fordson major centres redrilled to suit

There was a thread a while ago about the bloke who had bought some of the ex-EA fleet of JD tractors fitted with Boughton winches and was flogging them on eBay. He was selling the winches and the tractors separately (having put the 3PL back on after the EA had them removed).

There were some pics of the Boughton/Ulrich winch guarding setup especially over the rear window area. I'm sure they're googlable.

Definitely need some sort of protection. I had a rope snap on a Boughton winch trying to get a terragator out of a deep hole it had dug for itself. The rope was out full length as I couldn't get anywhere near it, and it was the scariest thing seeing yards of wire rope coming back at you like an angry snake. We had a roll bar on the tractor which had a frame welded on covered in heavy duty weldmesh. I know you are not supposed to weld on a roll bar, but I am sure it could be fixed with clamps.
